THE ENSEMBLE
Founded in 2026 by Brandon Chase Di Noto, Convergence Ensemble LA is a Los Angeles-based Chamber Vocal Ensemble, built around the idea of bringing people and music together.
Convergence is defined as, “the fact that two or more things or ideas, become similar or come together.” In line with this definition, Convergence Ensemble LA was founded on the principles of bringing different people, styles of music, and artistic mediums together; alongside the highest artistic excellence achievable.
Currently, the ensemble partners with emerging and established composers in making high-quality composition recordings, in addition to presenting joint or solo concerts.
THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Brandon Chase Di Noto is an American conductor, vocalist, educator & composer. He is currently a member of the School of Music faculty at Azusa Pacific University where he directs the Bel Canto Treble Choir & teaches multiple undergraduate & graduate courses; and the Assistant Director of Sterling Ensemble Los Angeles. Di Noto completed two undergraduate degrees at Point Loma Nazarene University, an M.M. in Choral Music at the USC Thornton School of Music; and is currently pursuing a D.M.A. in Choral Music, also at USC, where he served as a Teaching Assistant. He has studied conducting with Lucinda Carver, Grant Gershon, Cristian Grases, Daniel Jackson, Michelle Jensen, Larry Livingston, Troy Quinn, Jo-Michael Scheibe, Tram Sparks, & Nick Strimple; voice with Isabel Bayrakdarian, J. Craig Johnson, Jennifer Kampani, Derrick Lawrence, Amy Mein, & Michael Sokol; and composition with Donald Crockett, Neal Desby, Veronika Krausas, Susan LaBarr, Victor Labenske, Z. Randall Stroope, Frank Ticheli & Dale Trumbore.
Di Noto enjoys the collaborative nature of his career, acting frequently as a clinician, guest conductor, chorus master, leading productions of major choral/orchestral works, and having both prepared or lead performances in collaboration with noted artists including: Joyce DiDonato, Sangeeta Kaur, Hila Plitmann and Voctave. He has also commissioned and been invited to give regional, world & recording premieres of compositions by multiple established & emerging composers and publishers including: Lauren Biggs, Dale Trumbore, Amy Gordon, Samuel Siskind, Danaë Xanthe Vlasse, and Walton Music. As a vocalist, Di Noto has sung professionally as a soloist and choral artist across the United States and Europe in solo recitals, productions of oratorios and operettas, at ACDA & NCCO conferences and at international competitions. As a composer, he has written for multiple high school, university, community & professional ensembles; and is published through MusicSpoke. Di Noto is an active member of ACDA, NCCO, Chorus America and the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs).
Di Noto resides in Los Angeles, CA, and is in demand as a clinician, adjudicator, commissioned composer, vocalist and guest artist.
